This one-man free adaptation of Arthur Miller’s play is all about selling, as now death becomes part of the inexorable economic chain. Sales of a deadman picks up from where Miller’s open ending left off; between the suicidal car crash and subsequent funeral, everyone is still out to make money. The music and staging of this production is modelled on the inevitability of pure capitalistic life, a purgatorial marketplace where man has been transformed and purified into a commodity, there to be bought and sold.
