The spectator is in control
In the seemingly familiar environment of a concert hall, text and music are presented from a safe distance, the order of things being maintained by a libretto, stage action and musical accompaniment
Text, music, movement however soon begin to disengage and start kaleidoscopically commenting on each other. Perception is now a labyrinth: the acts of hearing and seeing do not merely illustrate a storyline, but become the plot themselves. For their first joint project with Opera Lab Berlin, Ulrich Kreppein and Alexander Fahima devise an game of realities(BODIES) and their Alien-ations in the imagination of the viewer (SHADOW).
